Our desire is to help those who are different to feel seen and heard, and to empower those who feel stuck and powerless.

What is Coaching?

As a coach we help people who feel stuck to move towards their goals. Through work that we put in together with our clients, we move towards finding their inner-knowledge. With accessing their inner-knowledge, we will help them find their optimum path to their goals. There are no set ways of getting there, as each person’s path is personal and as individual as we all are. A coach from the UK, Curly Martin, phrased it well, “coaching is based on the present and future. It’s founded on the premise that the past need not equate to the future.”

We cannot assist with therapy items, if things are at a state of extreme disfunction this would not be for you. Coaching is not intended or suitable for psychotherapy, counseling, advise giving, mental healthcare, or treatment for substance abuse or any addictive behavior. I am not a licensed mental health professional, psychotherapist, or counselor, and coaching is not intended as a replacement for counseling, psychiatric interventions, diagnostics, treatment for mental illness, professional medical advice, financial assistance, legal counsel, or other professional services.

Coaching works primarily by utilizing neuroplasticity. This is the brain’s ability to create and strengthen new pathways. When we come across a pathway that is no longer serving our client we hold the space to help them find how they would like to re-route that path. We do not tell our clients what to do, but allow them to access their inner-knowledge to make the decisions that are right for them.

What to Expect

We expect that most clients need at least 10 - 15 sessions to accomplish the goals they set out to at the beginning of our time together. Coaching will start with a 30 minute fact finding call to make sure that we are a good fit for you and also allow us to start you off with the most value for your time. There will be preliminary paperwork to complete as well before the first session as well.

Cat primarily works with women at a turning point in their lives, or that feel stuck in some way. She also works with teenagers who are neuro-divergent or seen as different by standard society. If the person to be coached is a minor, we do ask that they personally agree to be coached as well as their parent or guardian.

Sessions will sometimes include horses, other times we will use nature walks, and at other times we may be in an office area. This will depend on what you wish to accomplish and what feels right for you. There are many different ways we can approach an issue you wish to work on so that we can get to the best one for you and meet you where you are at.

If you are fearful, a horse will back off. If you are calm and confident, it will come forward. For those who are often flattered or feared, the horse can be a welcome mirror of the best in human nature.”

Horses are amazing teachers. They help to ground us and pull us back into our bodies, a place where they mostly live. Our bodies are where we find our deep inner-knowing. The horses also will help to change patterns that the client’s neuro-system already has in place, and create the environment to create new pathways.
